Geriatric Dentistry
Tending to dental needs of our elderly patients
Let’s face it, we are living longer. With advances in medicine and improvements in health care, the number of elderly people in our country has risen drastically. These individuals suffer from dental problems common to their specific age group, including dry mouth, ill-fitting dentures, and root caries, among others.
Multiple medical complications such as dementia, diabetes, and depression combined with a loss of independence and lack of mobility, create barriers to achieving optimal oral health. Dr. Kramer is critically aware of the need to treat this under-serviced portion of our population. We have the patience and take the time to develop treatment goals for each individual based upon their medical, dental, AND financial situations. We love our elderly patients!
“I saw Dr. Kramer at Emerald Dental. He was so personal and made me feel comfortable. His hygienist was also so kind and I really felt like she cleaned my teeth. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kramer and Emerald dental!”
